   • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
     • -Hair washing sinks are being used to reprocessing of the combs. Decontamination of dual-purpose sink procedure was reviewed and printed copies of AHS template were left onsite with staff.-Written procedure for client care in case of accidental cut or injury was reviewed onsite and AHS template was provided to the operator onsite.
   • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
     • 1- The barbicide jars were 1/4 filled and the combs were not immersed in the barbicide. Ensure the barbicide jars are filled enough to immerse the combs in the solution. Change the barbicide according to directions from the manufacturer on the label.2- The clippers were noted not being disinfected for required contact time during inspection onsite. Operator was educated to follow directions from label of each disinfectant regarding concentration, contact time and type of equipment. Ensure required contact time for each disinfectant is followed for disinfection of re-usable equipment.
