    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • CS20 disinfectant was expired. - Replace CS20 with an appropriate disinfectant and ensure the expiry date is checked before use. If the solution will be reused multiple times for reprocessing tools, obtain the necessary test strips.
    • 22. If the facility sterilizes equipment, are all proper sterilization, verification, and documentation processes in place (Critical)?
      • Autoclave is being used to sterilize semi critical equipment used for manicure and pedicure however the following monitoring requirements are not being adhered to:1. Biological monitoring is not being performed for the autoclave.A biological indicator spore test must be performed at least once per month within a test pack for the autoclave and recorded. 2. Physical monitoring in not being performed for each load.For every sterilized load, the sterilization temperature, exposure time, and pressure (if applicable) must be monitored, ensured to meet the manufacturer’s specifications and recorded.3. Type 5 indicator is not being included with each sterilized load.- At least one Type (Class) 5 chemical indicator must be included in every sterilized load. The type 5 chemical indicator must be packaged where the load being sterilized is packaged and recorded4. Records for physical (load number, sterilization temperature, exposure time, and pressure), chemical and biological monitoring are not being kept.- All records for biological, chemical and physical monitoring must be properly documented and available onsite at all times.
