      • **Updated April 30th, 2026: baseboards still need to be repaired**2. Baseboards in the basement by the stair doors and back exit were peeling off the wall and were not flush with the wall. Please repair or replace the baseboards so they are secured and flush to the wall to prevent the buildup of dirt and debris.

      • 1.Various finishes across the facility were in disrepair resulted in exposed wood and surfaces not being smooth and easy to clean. Areas included:- Toddler B door- Nursery room door- Age 3/4 room door- Toddler A room door- Basement hallway above the benches. Please refinish/repair all damaged surfaces throughout the facility so they are smooth and easy to clean. 2. Baseboards in the basement by the stair doors and back exit were peeling off the wall and were not flush with the wall. Please repair or replace the baseboards so they are secured and flush to the wall to prevent the buildup of dirt and debris.

      • 1) The wooden table in the back near the window in 3-4 years down room the edges were rough, and the left leg had crack.- Repair or replace the table.2) The sanitizer concentration in the 3-4 years up measured at 0 ppm3) The sanitizer solution concentration in the toddler room measured at 50 ppm. 4) Bleach sanitizer solution in ECS 3 room measured at 0 ppm.5) Bleach sanitizer solution in BAS 2 room measured at 0 ppm.- Maintain sanitizer concentration of chlorine sanitizers at 100 ppm.6) The cloth chairs in the BAS 1 room were visibly dirty. - Steam clean the chairs and have a cover that can be removed and washed.

      • 1) Wooden toys throughout the facility were wearing off, and have become rough and not easily cleanable.- Go through the wooden toys and resurface or replace the wooden toys. 2) The toy bins had dust accumulated.- Clean the bins.3) Pink house toy in the 3-4 years down was visibly dirty. - Clean the toys at regular intervals.

      • The following hot water temperatures were measured at the following sinks, recommendation is to keep temperature at 49 deg C or lower to prevent scalding:1. The 3-4 yr room upstairs- sinks 50.4 deg C in classroom2. The 3-4 yr room downstairs- both washroom sinks 51 deg C3. The ESC 2 room- washroom sinks 52 and 52.4 deg C4. The ESC3 room- washroom sinks 49.9 and 50.2 deg C5. Hallway sink was 50.3 deg C6. BAC - girls washroom 52.6, boys washroom 50 deg C

      • Droppings observed underneath handsink in BAC girls washroom in basement.Clean up and monitor for activity. Ensure all access points for facility are kept closed properly when not in use.

      • Toddler room A: Diapering pad had a large rip in it. Repair or replace diapering pad so that it is smooth and easily cleanable. **** Update April 15th 2024 Re-inspection **** 1. There was exposed unfinished wood under the diaper change bed. Staple pins were used to hold the leathery surface used to wrap the diaper change bed which created several folds around and under the bed making it difficult to clean.Replace the diaper change bed and ensure the surface for the diaper change bed is smooth, non-absorbent and cleanable. 2. Safety belts were not secured to the diaper change table.Please secure the safety belts to the diaper change table to prevent the risk of falling.
