    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • The following written procedures were not available at the time of the inspection: 1. Procedures for a dual-purpose sink used for hand washing and reprocessing- A written procedure must outline how to disinfect the hand wash sink in between use to minimize contamination.2. Procedures for accidental cut and puncture - A written procedure must outline the process when a client is accidentally cut. Please ensure these written procedures are developed and maintained onsite for staff awareness. An AHS document on dual purpose sink and accidental cut and puncture has been sent to the operator
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • The nail clips for the gel remover were visibly soiled with dust. Please ensure all equipment and tools are clean and disinfected prior to use. Store in a manner that protects it from contamination.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The high-level disinfectant, CS20 Preempt test strips were expired in 2024. Obtain another test strip for the high-level disinfectant and ensure they are not expired as this can result in inaccurate testing.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • The surface of the HydraFacial equipment is visibly soiled with accumulation of grime. Please ensure all surfaces and equipment are adequately cleaned and disinfected.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A reusable cover was used for the cuticle clippers and was visibly soiled with grime and dust.Refrain from using a cover for the cuticle covers as they are not easily cleanable, and dust, dirt, and grime can become lodged inside, therefore, contaminating the cuticle clippers.The operator removed the cuticle covers at the time of the inspection.
