      • Obtain a pest control service contract with a Licensed Pest Control company and submit pest control service report for review.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Clean and sanitize areas affected by rodent droppings.

      • Adjust the ceiling tile in back that is displaced, so that the surface is smooth and easily cleanable.
    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • Doors must be kept closed at all times. You must install a door screen if door is to be left opened. In accordance with Section 2.17 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure exterior openings are protected against the entry of pests.

    • 33(1) An operator must ensure that the temperature of food is controlled so that the food does not deteriorate or become inedible or unsafe.
      • Display fridge used to store cheesecakes at front measured at 11 degrees Celsius. Cheesecakes were transferred to another fridge. Repair the fridge and discontinue use until it is able to achieve and maintain a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and lower.

    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • - Main door observed left open at the time of inspection. A door screen must be installed at the door if the door has to remain open for ventilation.- The screen at the window outside the staff washroom observed broken. Screen must be repaired/replaced. In accordance with Section 2.17 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure exterior openings are protected against the entry of pests.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Rodent droppings observed on the floor in the area between black and grey fridge at the back, on the floor behind the freezer and equipment in back room. All areas with rodent droppings must be cleaned and sanitized.
    • 33(1) An operator must ensure that the temperature of food is controlled so that the food does not deteriorate or become inedible or unsafe.
      • Display fridge used to store cheesecakes at front measured at 11 degrees Celsius. Cheesecakes were transferred to another fridge. Repair the fridge and discontinue use until it is able to achieve and maintain a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and lower.
