- R2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters relating to the care and supervision of persons in care?
- Observation(s): While reviewing medication administration records, documentation indicates PRN (as needed) medications administered several times without PRN medication effectiveness documentation. When PRN medication effectiveness is not documented there is increased risk of medication errors and potential for negative health impacts for persons in care. Submit a corrective action plan by June 9, 2026, indicating how the licensee will ensure PRN effectiveness is documented.

- Observation(s): While reviewing monthly weights for persons in care (PIC), several months are missing weight documentation. When PIC weight is not obtained and documented monthly, there is risk of PIC not receiving care required to support their nutritional and other health care needs. Submit a corrective action plan by June 9, 2026, indicating how the licensee will ensure each PIC is weighed and their weight recorded monthly.

- Observation(s): Fridge and freezer temperature log missing temperature documentation for some shifts. Additionally, several fridge temperatures recorded are higher than safe food storage temperature, with no corrective action documentation. When food is not stored at safe temperatures and monitored to ensure same, there is increased risk of food borne illness for persons in care. Submit a corrective action plan by June 9, 2026, indicating how the licensee will ensure food is safely stored.

- Observation(s): Medicated cream is stored in unlocked cupboard in bathroom. When medicated cream is not safely and securely stored there is potential for persons in care to be exposed to medicated cream and have adverse health effects. Submit a corrective action plan by June 9, 2026, indicating how the licensee will ensure all medications are safely and securely stored.
