      • Intermediate-level disinfectant: Mix 20 ml (4 tsp) of 5.25% bleach with 500 ml (2 cups) of cold water. Ensure the disinfectant remains wet on the equipment for 5 minutes. Rinse with water and air dry. Prepare a new bleach and water solution daily.
      • Pedicure basin without recirculation: Clean and intermediate-level disinfect pipe-less basin and all removable parts (if applicable) after every use. First clean with detergent, water and a scrub brush. Rinse with clean water and intermediate level disinfect. Rinse again with clean water.
      • Pedicure basin with recirculation: Clean and intermediate-level disinfect the basin after every use. First clean the basin and all removable parts with detergent, water and a scrub brush. Fill the basin with water above the jets, add detergent and recirculate for approximately 5 minutes. Drain, fill with water and recirculate again to rinse. Drain, fill with water and add an intermediate-level disinfectant such as 20 ml (4 tsp) of 5.25% bleach with 1 L (4 cups) of cold water (e.g., 20 L foot spa would require 400 ml of bleach).
