- - Observed several packages of previously sterilized jewelry that had a hole on the paper side that was sealed with translucent tape. It was determined that some packages containing pairs of earrings were opened to obtain one earring and resealed. Opened packages are no longer sterile at the point of use and must be repackaged and re-sterilized before they are used for piercings.Previously opened packages were identified and removed from storage during the inspection and will be repackaged and re-sterilized.
