      • Violation carried over from previous inspection as not being corrected.1. Two of the pedicure chair covers were torn and in disrepair. The operator indicated new covers were on order.

    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • Used single use disposable items were noted being stored at nail stations. The items were discarded during inspection.Ensure all single use items are discarded after single use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1- The drill bits were not being properly cleaned and disinfected between clients. Used drill bits were noted all nails stations. Operator reported many of these items are no more in use. Operator also reported that drill bits are being soaked in alcohol in between clients.The drill bits must be properly cleaned and disinfectant using high level disinfectant in between clients. Alcohol is not a disinfectant.2- Records of daily High level disinfectant testing were not properly entered in the HLD testing logs. High level disinfectant must be discarded after 14 days and HLD test log must be closed. A new HLD Log sheet must be used with new pour and new pour date of HLD must be entered in the HLD log sheet.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Nails stations were not maintianed in a clean and sanitary condition. Several items not reportedly being in use, were stored on the stations and collecting dust. Surfaces of the desk also need dusting and proper cleaning.Declutter the nail stations and maintain the surfaces in a clean and sanitary condition.
