What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on October 15, 2025. For example: 3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on March 8, 2023. For example: 4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded once on March 8, 2023. For example: 1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

    • F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
      • Observation(s): • A minimum 50 ppm concentration of chlorine based sanitizer must be measurable by test strip on a wet glass surface following completion of the wash cycle. Have unit serviced.

New bottle of household bleach attached. Test strips left for staff to confirm correct concentration of 50 ppm in final rinse. • If unit does not produce a minimum of 50 ppm have servicing carried out. • Recommend against using household bleach as it is of lesser strength than commercial chlorine solution and the washer must be calibrated to deliver the correct concentration ie. it must pump approximately 2x more product into the rinse solution. • See F3.4
    • F3.4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): • Written sanitation procedures to be prepared for staff referencing describing the daily activities of monitoring the glasswasher for correct operation. • a log sheet is to be maintaine to confirm that the sanitizer reservoir was checked and the final rinse chlorine residual concentration left on glassware after the washing cycles have been completed.
