      • Water temperature was noted to be at 22.8 degrees C. Please increase water temperature and ensure it is maintained between 35 - 45 degrees C.

      • 1. It was noted that the staff member was not following proper diapering procedures. Proper diapering procedures were discussed with the operator during the inspection. Please train staff members. 2. Water bottles, food bowls and cereal were noted on the diapering counter. All these were removed during the inspection. Please do not anything on diapering station.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Water temperature was noted to be at 22.8 degrees C. Please increase water temperature and ensure it is maintained between 35 - 45 degrees C.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Clients' personal items were in physical contact with other clients. Please ensure that client's personal items are not in physical contact with other clients.

      • The faucet of the hand washing sink located in the senior toddler area was loose. Please secure the hand washing sink faucet.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • It was noted that the facility was performing diapering on the floor of the Kinder washroom. A diapering station from the Toddler room (currently not being used but would start using this room on Sept 2, 2025) was moved in the Kinder washroom during the inspection. The operator also moved diaper genie from the baby room 1 in this washroom. Please acquire a diapering station for Toddler room and diaper genie for baby room 1.

      • The faucet of the hand washing sink located in the senior toddler area was loose. Please secure the hand washing sink faucet.

      • Maximum water temperature was noted at 55.5 degrees C at Preschool and Infant room 1 hand washing sinks and 55 degrees C at Preschool bathroom. Please decrease the water temperature and ensure the maximum water temperature is maintained at or below 49 degrees C and above 38 degrees C.

      • Water damage was noted inside the cabinet of infant room 1.Please investigate the source and clean the area.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Maximum water temperature was noted at 55.5 degrees C at Preschool and Infant room 1 hand washing sinks and 55 degrees C at Preschool bathroom. Please decrease the water temperature and ensure the maximum water temperature is maintained at or below 49 degrees C and above 38 degrees C.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Bedding was noted on cots at the time of inspection. The bedding was moved to clients' cubbies during the inspection. The operator was advised to disinfect cots after each use. The operator indicated that they would store bedding in client's cubbies moving forward and all cots would be disinfected.

      • 1. Completed.2. An electrical switch plate was missing under the ink in the same infant room. Please install the missing electrical switch plate with GFI. 3. Completed.4. Cubbies were not properly sealed. Please seal all cubbies.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Diapering pad was not observed in Toddler and one of the baby rooms. Please acquire diapering pads. 2. A disinfectant solution for diapering area was not observed. Please ensure that a disinfectant is present at all diapering stations. 3. Test strips to test concentration of bleach solution were not observed. The facility had test strips but were not bleach. Please acquire appropriate test strips.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The plumbing line of the sink located in the infant room was leaking. Please repair the leaking line. 2. An electrical switch plate was missing under the ink in the same infant room. Please install the missing electrical switch plate with GFI. 3. The wall area was not smooth in the same infant room underneath the sink. Please finfish the wall area.4. Cubbies were not properly sealed. Please seal all cubbies.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • General cleaning is required. Please clean the facility and ensure it is maintained in a clean and sanitary state.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • All water tables needed to be finished. Please ensure all water tables are smooth and moisture resistant.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • Crib checklist was not completed for all three cribs. Please complete the crib checklist.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Diapering pad were not observed in Toddler and one of the baby room. Please acquire diapering pads. 2. Both baby rooms did not have barriers at diapering station for fall protection. Please install fall protections. 3. Test to test concentration of bleach solution were not observed. The facility had test strips but were not bleach. Please acquire appropriate test strips.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Holes were noted in almost all cubbies. Please seal these holes and ensure they are maintained in smooth, easy to clean and moisture resistant state. 2. A baseboard was noted to be missing from baby room 1 behind the cubbies. Bare dry wall was noted. Please seal the bare drywall.3. Porous ceiling tiles were noted throughout the facility. Some of these tiles were noted to be damaged. Please ensure that the ceiling must be made of material that is impervious to moisture. Please replace ceiling tiles.4. According to floor plan submitted and approved, a designated toy washing sink is located in the kitchen area. This sink was not observed during the inspection. Please install a toy washing sink as per the floor plan.5. The shelving units were not mounted to either floor or walls in all rooms. The operator stated that they are planning on moving these shelving units to accommodate sleeping.Please note that all shelving units must be either mounted to the walls or floor. These units must not be moved to accommodate sleeping. Please either floor mount or wall mount these shelving units in all rooms.6. The facility physical setup does not match the floor plan submitted and approved. According to the floor plan, a hand washing sink is located outside the washroom in the pre-school room and one outside of the staff washroom. These sinks were not observed during the inspection. Please install these sinks.8. The floor plans were not submitted to EPH prior to construction. A copy of the floor plan must be submitted prior to construction for review.

      • Soap dispensers and soap were not observed. Please install soap dispenser and ensure they are fully stocked at all times.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Required first aid kit was not observed. Please review the first aid kit requirements and acquire a first aid kit.
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • Laundry facilities are located inside the kitchen.Please relocate laundry facilities from the kitchen area.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The water temperature was noted to be above 53 degrees C. Please ensure that the water temperature is maintained below 49 degrees C at all times
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Sleeping supplies and storage of sleeping supplies were not observed. Please designate an area to store sleeping supplies.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Soap dispensers and soap were not observed. Please install soap dispensers and ensure they are fully stocked at all times.2. Accumulation of dust and debris was noted on the ventilation system of the staff washroom. Please clean the ventilation system.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • 1. Garbage bins noted in the facility were not "no touch". Please replace all garbage bins and ensure they are "no touch".3. Crib checklist was not completed for all three cribs. Please complete the crib checklist.
