      • -The wall in the hallway outside the Investigateurs/Fideline room was damaged. **Repair the wall and ensure the area is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easy to clean. ** Sept 23 2025 - violation is still outstanding. -

      • - The tap beside the blue diapering mat was leaking water when in its fully off position.** Please repair the tap so water is no longer leaking.**Sept 23 2025 reinspection: violation is still outstanding. -

      • -The wall in the hallway outside the Investigateurs/Fideline room was damaged. **Repair the wall and ensure the area is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easy to clean. ** Sept 23 2025 - violation is still outstanding. -
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • -There was a standalone diapering station set up in the Investigateurs / Fideline room ( near the laundry machine door), that was not located close to a handwashing station. There were child gates blocking effective access to the sink and a further walk needing to get to the handwashing stations for both children and staff. ** Please relocate the standalone diapering station close to the handwashing stations by the door to encourage proper handwashing by staff and children. ** Sept 23 2025: violation is still outstanding. -

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • - In the investigateurs / Fideline room, there was spray bottle containing chemicals on the counter near the diapering station that was unlabelled. When asked, staff said that it was oxivir.**Please ensure all spray bottles containing chemicals are properly labelled. **This was corrected at the time of the inspection. -
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • -1. Playdough is being made at the site using regular all purpose flour. ** Please remove all the playdough made from the site using regular flour. Use commercially sold playdough, playdough made with cornstarch or use commercially purchased heat treated flour (or ready to eat flour) instead. 2. There was a large, bottled water observed on the floor in the kitchen, near the garbage/ recycling area without a proper lid and a thin film of grime observed on top. When asked what the bottle was being used for, staff mentioned the water is being brought outdoors for children play. ** Please ensure water being used for children play is potable and kept clear from possible contamination. Do not use this water, and ensure for next time, the water is stored with a proper lid, and not on the floor beside the garbage/recycling area. -

      • -First aid kit was missing CPR barrier with one-way valve. Staff tried to locate this but was unable to find it. ** Ensure the first aid kit is equipped with a CPR barrier with a one-way valve. -
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • -1. The exterior pane of the window in the Investigateurs/Fideline room, close to the door leading to the kitchen, was badly cracked / damaged throughout. ** Please ensure the damaged window is removed and replaced and ensure it is in good repair. 2. The laundry room was fairly disorganized, with many misc. items on the floor. There was also quite a bit of accumulated debris in the area and on the floors.** Please organize/clean the laundry room and ensure this area is included on the cleaning schedule. -
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • -Some of the pool noodles that are being used for children play in the Investigateurs/Fideline room was missing large sections ( appears to have been bitten off), making it harder to clean/ disinfect. ** Please remove damaged pool noodles and replace with new ones.-
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • - The tap beside the blue diapering mat was leaking water when in its fully off position.** Please repair the tap so water is no longer leaking.-
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • - There was lotion and sunscreen observed near the front door / the standalone diapering station (near the laundry) that was unlabeled in the Investigateurs/Fideline room. ** Please label all parent provided personal items. -

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The designated diapering station (i.e. blue mat) was not being cleaned at its underside, and the Velcro used to hold it to the countertop appeared to be loosened up and visibly soiled.REQUIREMENT: Clean and repair the underside of the blue diapering mat.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Homemade playdough is made onsite using a standard recipe which doesn't involve a cooking step.Afterward the playdough is packaged into Ziplock bags. When used, the operator will discard playdough which appears to be dried out; however, the playdough is not refrigerated before or after use.REQUIREMENT: Homemade playdough needs to be refrigerated before and after use as a means to inhibit microbial growth.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Provide a written record for pest control monitoring onsite. PCO service completed this week, please ensure a copy of the service report is provided onsite for record keeping

      • Some painted wall surfaces have exposed drywall/patching done. Ensure areas where painted wall surfaces require repair are properly treated to provide smooth, easily washable surface.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Provide a written record for pest control monitoring onsite. PCO service completed this week, please ensure a copy of the service report is provided onsite for record keeping
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Water temperature for the handsinks (2) next to diapering station should be lowered to facilitate handwashing for clients. One sink measured 53 deg C at tap, the other sink measured 49.9 deg CIdeally set water temperature in the range of 38-42 deg C for use.

      • Plastic storage unit in toddler room is @44 inches tall and can pose tipping hazard. Provide wall anchor to prevent tipping.

      • Designated diapering station- underside and bottom surface below diaper pad had debris. Ensure after each diapering procedure, the diapering station, including underside and countertop is cleaned and disinfected properly.

Rodent droppings were observed in the floor-wall edges in storage room, staff room and one craft cabinet (grey plastic cabinet in hallway near storage room)Remove droppings and clean and disinfect the areas. Monitor areas for activity 2. Provide a written record for pest control monitoing onsite.
