    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Reusable semi-critical equipment such as comedone extractors for facials are cleaned, then disinfected with Pre Empt CS-20. CS-20 is not being tested and results were therefore not being recorded. Owner was changing out CS-20 solution every 3 days, however. Please purchase CS-20 test strips and record the test results daily in the provided disinfection log.
    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • A small pair of scissors were used to remove cauterized skin tags. The scissors were cleaned and disinfected in CS-20. As the scissors are used to break the skin, they are considered critical equipment and will require steam-sterilization between clients. Owner states that she will find a disposable, sterile at point of use alternative for this procedure.
