      • 1. Facility making play dough using Robin Hood Flour. **Please use ready to use or heat treated flour. Cornstarch is acceptable. ***DISCUSSED WITH OPERATOR THAT ROBIN HOOD FLOUR CANNOT BE USED TO MAKE PLAY DOUGH.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • The north wall of the Toddler Room was observed to be windows from top to bottom. It could not be confirmed at the time of the inspection whether the glass was tempered or a safety glass.**Provide proof that the glass is tempered or safety glass. If this cannot be provided, install safety film onto the windows 1 metre up from the floor.***NOTE: FURNITURE REARRANGED TO PROVIDE BARRIER AGAINST THE GLASS AS IT COULD NOT BE CONFIRMED IT WAS SAFETY GLASS/TEMPERED. THERE WERE TWO AREAS OF THE WINDOW THAT WAS NOT FULLY BLOCKED.

      • Shaving cream and cleaning products were in reach of the children in the 3 to 6 year old room. **Ensure all chemicals are stored out of reach of children.***CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION.

      • Napping cots were observed to be stored in the Toddler washroom. **Do not store napping cots in the washroom and store cots in a location that is sanitary and protected from potential contamination.

      • Extra toys were stored on a floating shelf in the 3-6 year old washroom. ****Do not store toys in the washroom. Store these items in a location that is sanitary and protected from potential contamination.

      • The proposed diapering area did not contain a handwash sink within its vicinity. Move the location of the diapering area to be adjacent to a dedicated hand wash sink.

      • The washrooms for use by children at this facility could be locked from the inside. For safety reasons, door locks in washrooms used by children in childcare facilities must be openable from the outside. Modify existing door locks to be openable from the outside.
