      • Some of the paints and bingo dabbers are not labelled as non-toxic. Ensure that all art and craft supplies are labeled as non-toxic.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Paper towel was not being stored in the dispenser at the diapering handwashing station in the infant room.Ensure that Paper towel is kept in the dispenser.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Many of the first aid kits were missing contents, some had other contents.Check first aid kit requirements and ensure kits are fully stocked.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • A wooden play structure that turns into a slide inside was observed. Raised equipment needs fall surfacing to be used.

      • *Baby room had areas with exposed wood. Please ensure all areas are easily cleanable and impervious to moisture.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • *A tall shelve (aprox. 75 inch) was observed to not be secured in place. Use proper anchors to attach tall or heavy furniture such as bookshelves and dressers to the wall. This will prevent furniture from falling over onto children.

      • *Vent cover missing for the air intake vent in the girl's washroom. Please ensure vent is in place and the area is maintained clean and free of debris.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • *Baby room had areas taped over exposed wood. Please ensure all areas are easily cleanable and impervious to moisture.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • *Purex container was observed with sanitizer level bleach solution was observed. Ensure container indicate its' contents. This was corrected onsite.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • An electrical extension cable outlets in the OSC/Kinder room were not covered with protective caps. The staff covered the outlets during inspection.Please ensure all electrical outlets are always covered with protective caps.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Staple pins were used to hold artwork, posters and other educational items/notifications in the Kinder and Toddler room. Please cover the staple pins with a clear tape. The pins can fall off and get swallowed by a child.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The blow dryer for the handwashing sink in the Kinder washroom was not operational.Please repair the hand dryer.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The surface under the diapering mat in the Toddler washroom was unclean. Dirt and Debris were observed.Please clean the surface and ensure it always maintained in a sanitary condition.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The handwashing sink in the OSC/Kinder girls' washroom had no hot water coming from the faucet. The PHI opened the hot water control knob under the sink during inspection.Please ensure handwashing sinks at the facility are always supplied with hot water for proper handwashing.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • The ventilation fan in the Kinder washroom was not operational.Please repair the ventilation fan.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The handwashing sink dedicated for diapering in in the Baby room was being used to wash/clean bottles and personal items.Please note that handwashing sinks at the program dedicated for diapering can only be used for handwashing. Washing and sanitizing of bottles and other items can be done in the kitchen sink.
