Inspection summary

London Drugs #010 has been inspected 11 times by Vancouver Coastal Health since May 12, 2015. The most recent inspection, on March 19, 2026, found no infractions.

5 of 11 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Pests and Protecting food from contamination.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 6 times across 6 separate inspections, most recently on March 2, 2026. For example: The premises and all equipment, utensils, and food contact surfaces are maintained in good condition and used in a manner that ensures safe and sanitary food handling.

  • PestsHigher risk

Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

Recorded 4 times across 4 separate inspections, most recently on March 2, 2026. For example: The premises is free of pests.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on December 27, 2019. For example: Food is handled in a sanitary manner and is not subject to contamination.

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on January 19, 2024. For example: Operation of premises is in accordance with approved floor plans and specifications.

Husband sent in requisition to pharmacist for rescue inhaler, issued by VGH Emergency. He’s been in bad shape for 12 days and urgently needed the refill when he picked it up. He was told without the original, they would not issue it to him. He had to raise his voice and get the pharmacist, who promptly sat down with him, did 5 minutes of work and gave him his much needed inhaler. No apologies. What’s the point of becoming a pharmacist, if you are willing to send someone in need away without his rescue inhaler, when you have a clear requisition form, and can clearly get him his inhaler. They claimed they were following the law in rejecting issuing it, and yet within 5 minutes, could issue it anyways. If they sent him home without it, they were risking his life and health. My husband should not have needed to raise his voice to get care.

I found this place to take my ID photo using a Google search. Gabby greeted me and took the photos. I'm very grateful for Gabby's friendly, patient, professional, and meticulous service. They will print the photos and provide a website where I can download the digital version. It's worth mentioning that they have a pre-checking device to ensure the photos meet the requirements before printing them out. I highly recommend this LondonDrugs photo studio.

A nice London drugs and good photo department, I've ordered from here multiple times and have been satisfied with the pick up. LD if you keep your eyes open, you sometimes find the most random things on firesale. Technology wise, it's usually in a similar ball park to some of the other stores. As seen in the pictures, this was near closing time so it was not too busy. There's metered parking right outside and it's a bit hit or miss , finding a spot. However the underground parking generally should not be an issue. Ive never had a problem find a spot there. There is an elevator access right into the store so that's convenient too. Overall, the place gets the job done and as this is a LD that I frequently go to, I feel on average the people are great.
