      • Facility specific written procedures were not in place.According to the operator, the procedures were established but were misplaced since the previous inspection.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • The sink in the reprocessing area was not supplied with a permanent potable water source.The operator states that the current mobile sink will be hooked up to the water supply located in the closet of the client service room. This closer had a water supply for a washer, 220V outlet and vent for a dryer.

      • Facility specific written procedures were not in place.A copy of the AHS written procedure template was left onsite.Ensure all applicable pages are completed.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • A reusable towel on a towel rack was provided in the washroom for drying hands.Please ensure a single use hand drying option is provided (paper towels, or single use laundered towels).
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Preempt CS20 disinfectant was not being tested daily for efficacy.Please ensure the Preempt CS20 disinfected is tested daily for efficacy using an AHP 7 test paper. Document these results using the provided log sheet.
