    • 02. Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?
      • Cotton candy had been prepared from a home-based facility prior to the event. This home-based business does not have an active food handling permit from Alberta Health Services. Without a food-handling permit, cotton candy prepared from home would be considered a low-risk home-prepared food and subject to labeling requirements that must indicate "Prepared from a home kitchen not subject to inspection". Cotton candy that is prepared on-site during the special event is not subject to these labelling requirements.
    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • The sanitizer available onsite was not correctly labeled as such.Ensure any chemicals in use are correctly labeled.
    • 23. Has appropriate notification been given for the special event?
      • The operator of this special event vendor did not provide adequate notice to AHS and/or the event organizer of their proposed operations.
