    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • There was an accumulation of small pieces of plastic at the bottom of the windowsill in the infant room that is accessible to infants. The plastic was falling from the window art where it was being used as fake snow.- Window art and pieces of plastic were removed during the inspection.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • Milk/formula in the refrigeration unit of the infant room was not labeled with the child's name.- Corrected during inspection.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Water was leaking from the faucet at the 2-compartment sink in the south preschool room and dripping into the cabinet below.- Leak to be fixed.

      • The standing cube storage shelf in the preschool 3 room was moveable and not anchored to the wall.- Ensure that the shelf is anchored/ secured to the wall.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The handwashing sink in the infant room was not functional at the time of inspection.- Handwashing to be functional and supplied with hot and cold potable water.

    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The maximum hot water measured in Bay 111 West Room dropped from 30C to 19C within 5 minutes of running water. A maximum of 19C hot water was noted in the staff washroom, kitchenette, and all 3 childcare rooms in Bay 111. A 10 USG hot water tank was being used to supply hot water to all of Bay 111. Insufficient quantity of hot water noted. - A sufficient supply of hot water is required to meet the demands of the facility without running out of hot water. Informed that a 50 USG tank will be installed for Bay 111.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • One of the clips for the change table safety belts is missing.- Ensure that the safety belt is able to be secured when used. Repair or replace the safety belt.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • The antiseptic wipes in the first aid kits expired in December of 2021. - Antiseptic wipes to be replaced with ones that are not expired.
