- Observation(s): Uncovered cookies were found on the shelf below where a sanitizer spray bottle was placed. After testing the sanitizer spray bottle the cookies became contaminated with drops which fell off the spray bottle when placed back on the shelf.

- 13.2 - Are dishes, utensils and food contact surfaces properly cleaned and sanitized?
- Observation(s): 1. Deli slicer that was cleaned was found to still have an accumulation of filth in the blade guard at the time of inspection, which can allow for pathogens to grow and/or the formation of toxins. Ensure deli slicer is washed, rinsed then sanitized thoroughly before storage and at least every 4 hours when in use. The deli slicer blade guard was cleaned and sanitized at the time of inspection. FDA handout on how to clean & sanitize deli slicers was given at the time of inspection. 2. Can opener (side counter) blade was found to have an accumulation of filth. Ensure that the can opener blade is scrubbed then sanitized (i.e. run through the dishwasher) to prevent the contamination of food.
