    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Expired alcohol swabs were found in one first aid kit. Please obtain and maintain a properly stocked first aid kit with valid supplies.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • -Toys were visibly clean; however, the high-temperature dishwasher used for toy washing was not reaching sanitation temperatures during the inspection. The dishwasher was measured at approximately 49C at dish level after the second run. -For high temperature dishwashers, a temperature reading above 71C at dish level indicates satisfactory sanitation. Proper cleaning and disinfecting of toys is required.-Please use the dishwasher only for washing toys. Sanitizing must follow using a bleach solution in one of the two-compartment sinks: please soak toys in a sink for two minutes using a bleach solution. Bleach concentration must be verified at 100 ppm using chlorine sanitizer test strips. After the sanitizing step, let the surface or item air dry.-You may also use the two-compartment sink for toy washing and sanitizing.Please repair the dishwasher to ensure proper sanitation of toys.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler room:-No warm water was detected at the small hand washing sink near the toddler washroom. -No cold water detected at the large hand washing sink.Baby room:-No cold water detected at the hand washing sink.Preschool room:-One sink near shared washroom was not operational on the cold-water side.-Second sink was not operational on one side and had no warm water.Preschool/OSC washroom: -Low hot water pressure and no cold water detected at one sink.-No cold water at second sink.Please fix. Ensure that all sinks are properly maintained, have sufficient water pressure, and provide both hot and cold running water to support effective handwashing.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The disinfectant bottle in the toddler room was measured at 0ppm chlorine. One disinfectant bottle in the baby room was measured at 50ppm chlorine. Both bottles were emptied and set aside to be remade upon request.Please ensure disinfectant solutions are tested and remade regularly to ensure they are always at a minimum of 100ppm chlorine.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • The mini fridge in the baby room was measured at 15C. The fridge was storing snacks (fruits/vegetables) and a few bottles of formula. The formula was prepared and stored in the fridge for ~90 minutes prior to the inspection. Upon request, the formula and snacks were moved to another fridge that was measured at <4C. Please have this fridge repaired or replaced so it can maintain a temperature of <4C.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The pad for the diapering station in the toddler room is ripped and thus cannot be properly disinfected. Please replace this pad.
