      • 70% alcohol was used to disinfectant semi-critical equipment tools, including nail clipper. - A high-level disinfectant is required. CS20 onsite expired in 2021. Obtain a proper high level disinfectant and follow its manufacturers instructions, obtain proper test strips when reuse.

      • 70% alcohol was used as surface disinfectant.- Ensure a low-level disinfectant is used for surface disinfection, ie Lysol wipes. The foot basin was not disinfected after cleaning. - Ensure a low-level disinfectant spray is used on the basin after cleaning.

      • The staff lunchroom was being used as waxing treatment room, where staff takes breaks, reheat and consume foods. - The lunchroom could not be used as treatment room to avoid cross-contamination.Most tools in the UV unit were found to be rusted, including a nail clipper and a cuticle trimmer.- Refrain from using rusted tools, as rusted surfaces cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected.
