    • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
      • Observation(s): Quat test strips could not be found during inspection. If the test strips can not be found purchase new ones.
      • F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Cat was in kitchen. Kitchen is connected to separate store (Superior Trades Services) without a solid, tight fitting, self-closing door to clearly separate the two businesses. Food/water bowls for cat were located in the retail store. The cat cannot be permitted to enter the kitchen space even when the facility is closed. Please install a solid self closing door to separate the two businesses (reach out to the city building/fire department for permission before installation) and keep the cat out of the kitchen space at all times. It appears that Superior Trade Services and the food premises do not operate during the same hours - please provide confirmation. Ceiling tiles loose/missing in food prep area. Please ensure an intact ceiling is available in this space. Some loose screws noted near cabinets near food prep area in the back. Ensure loose metals screws and other potential metal objects that may fall into food prep areas are removed/fixed. Floor is chipped in some areas. The floors should be maintained such that they are smooth, durable, easily cleanable and non-slip. More information on floor requirements can be found in Canadian Food Retail and Food Services Code (p.15). Ensure to clearly label which products are for personal staff use vs meant for the public in dry storage areas and fridges (e.g. a dedicated staff fridge vs a fridge used for the public). Small ropes used to hold plastic wrap rolls in food prep area must be replaced with a material that is smooth, durable, and easily cleanable. Ensure to clean areas where food debris has built up (e.g. at bottom of fridges, under equipment, etc.). Pipes come out of wall under prep table. Ensure not to store food or food contact surfaces (e.g. bowls) in this area. Alternatively cover this area so that exposed pipes is not above food or food contact surfaces. Unclear what pipe is/was connected to. Large amount of personal items stored under pizza oven. there also some fridges on site that are not being used/broken. Equipment not required for food related operation must be removed form the premises.
      • F2.5A All equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces used on the premises must be kept in good working order to ensure the sanitary handling of food.
      • F2.5B The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.
      • F2.5E Equipment or materials not required for food related operations must be removed from the premises.
      • F2.5F Animals must not be permitted in the premises unless they are certified service animals.

      • Observation(s): - Operator must provide test strips for to measure QUAT sanitizing solution concentration.
      • F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): - Operator must label all spray bottles containing chemicals.
      • F2.5D Chemicals, cleaners and other agents must be properly labelled and stored separately from food to prevent contamination.
