      • No antiseptic wipes were observed in any first aid kits in the facility. - Replenish the first aid kits with antiseptic wipes.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Bleach sanitizer solution in the infant room was measured at 10 ppm. - The operator remade the bleach solution, and it was measured at 100 ppm.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) In senior 4+ room the wooden toys had rough edges.- Regularly check the wooden toys and replace as needed.2)Toy bins in toddler room had dust accumulated. - Clean the bins.3) The vent in the laundry room had dust accumulated. - Clean the vent.

    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kit in Toddler 1 bag was missing some items- CPR barrier valve device, emergency blancket, content list). Please ensure all classroom backpacks are equipped with first aid kits as per to the content requirements under CSA Standard Z1220-17Type 2 Basic
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Exit door in Senior room (basement to outdoor play area) has small visible gap on bottom corner. Vertical side trim to door is bent and needs repair.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Thumbtacks were located in entrance hallway on a corner table and wall surface accessible to children. Corrected onsite and removed. Please ensure thumbtacks are not used in areas accessible to children.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Diapering table in Toddler 1 room- debris noted on underside surface below diaper change pad. Corrected while onsite. Advise staff to ensure after diapering is completed for child, to clean and sanitize top and bottom surfaces of diapering area.

      • Water temperature for hot water taps ( 4 handsinks) in the shared washroom for Toddler room 1&2 measured between 56.5 - 57.9 degrees C. Hot water tank dial setting was adjusted while onsite during inspection. Will return tomorrow to re-measure hot water temperature. *Ensure hot water tempeature does not exceed 54 deg C, with recommendation to be 49 deg C max.

      • Maximum temperature of handwashing sink was measured at 58C during inspection. Water temperature was reduced during inspection.
