      • The countertop ice machine scoop and internal basket for finished ice was observed to be in an unclean state. Mould was present on these food handling surfaces. Clean and sanitize indicated equipment.

      • A probe thermometer was not available onsite to confirm the temperature of cooked foods.Acquire a suitable probe thermometer.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • The manual dishwashing method described did not include a suitable sanitizing step. A domestic model dishwasher is available onsite, but was identified as not having acceptable sanitizing capabilities. Manual dishwashing with a two-compartment sink requires that one of the compartment sinks is used as a sanitizing basin, with the other sink acting as both a wash and rinse basin.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • No member of staff for this facility is known to have formal food safety certification. The only available food safety certification on file was expired. Ensure that at least one person in care and control of this facility has received formal food safety certification.

      • The countertop ice machine scoop and internal basket for finished ice was observed to be in an unclean state. Mould was present on these food handling surfaces. Clean and sanitize indicated equipment.

      • An outdoor cooking area was constructed at the back patio area of this building. AHS did not receive notification or plans prior to this construction occurring.
