- 9(a) An operator must renew a permit, other than a temporary permit, on or before the expiry date by submitting a completed renewal application to the Minister on a form approved by the Administrator together with all of the following:

- 19(1)(a) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:
(a) that the risk of contaminating the food is minimized;
- Observed kitchen ceiling lights without shatter proof covers. Shatter prove covers are required or replace with LED plastic to prevent from potential for physical contamination of food and equipment from accidental break.In accordance with Section 2.7(c) and Section 2.7(d) of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure all lighting fixtures are shielded with shatter-proof coverings in areas where there is exposed food, equipment, utensils or linens.
- 20(2) A washroom facility must be constructed, equipped, and designed in accordance with the Nova Scotia Building Code.
- Staff washroom door was observed opened (in kitchen) during inspection. In accordance with Section 2.15(b) of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure that toilet rooms for staff: i. are completely enclosed and provided with a tight-fitting and self-closing door, with the exception of those washrooms which are designated as accessible; ii. are equipped with a handwash station; including a liquid soap and paper towel dispenser; iii. have handwashing notices prominently displayed; iv. are conveniently located and accessible to workers during all hours of operation; v. provide hooks outside the facility to hang aprons, white coats, etc.; vi. are easily cleanable, well ventilated, and well lit; and vii do not open directly into a food preparation area.
- 20(2) A washroom facility must be constructed, equipped, and designed in accordance with the Nova Scotia Building Code.
- Male washroom (upstairs) missing 1 urinal and another urinal in disrepair. Repair / replace urinals. In accordance with Section 2.15(c) of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure that toilet rooms for the public: i. are completely enclosed and provided with a tight-fitting and self-closing door, with the exception of those washrooms which are designated as accessible; ii are equipped with a handwash station; including a liquid soap and paper towel dispenser; iii have handwashing notices prominently displayed; iv. are conveniently located and accessible to patrons during all hours of operation; v. are easily cleanable, well ventilated, and well lit; and vi. are not accessed through the food handling or food preparation areas.
- 27(c) A food establishment must develop and demonstrate policies and procedures for personnel that ensure that a person entering a food handling area or engaging in an operation in a food establishment who comes into contact with food meets all of the following:
(c) the person takes adequate measures to prevent food from being contaminated by hair;
- In accordance with Section 5.5 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure all personnel involved in food preparation and any person entering the food preparation and/or food storage area must wear hair restraints and beard nets where appropriate.
- 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:

- 39(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), (3) and (4) an operator must not permit any live animal to be in a food establishment.
- Pet dogs are not allowed in food premises, unless it is a service or guide dog.
- 19(1)(a) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:
