    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The dermaplaning blades are kept for each individual client (which is fine). However, they are not adequately separated from each other. They are kept in a container all together. Ensure that the dermaplaning blades for individual clients are kept completely separate from each other.**This was discussed with the operator (who was not onsite during the last inspection when this was first noted). Operator will fully separate the individual blades (ie. put in ziploc bags before storing in the bin).

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A comedone extractor was noted to be stored in a cup of Barbicide in the facials room. This piece of equipment is considered semi-critical and must be cleaned and then disinfected with a high level disinfectant. Barbicide is not a high level disinfectant. Please fully clean and then high level disinfect this tool.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The facility had run out of their PreEmpt CS20. They had ordered more but at the time of the inspection, there was no high level disinfectant onsite. Please obtain a high level disinfectant for use on reusable equipment. In the future, ensure that this is reordered/purchased prior to running out.
