      • Noted that the temperature of the room was 16C. The manager stated that though the thermostat was set at 20C, for the past month, the temperature has been fluctuating from 16-20C. 16C is insufficient temperature and must be addressed.

      • Increase chlorine in sanitizer solution to 1000ppm during outbreak.Increase frequency of cleaning of toys and high touch areas. Increase/ encourage more frequent handwashing.Post sign to advise of outbreak in daycare

      • Handwashing sink in main area not properly functioning, Maintenace to the faucet is required to ensure running warm water.Action: repair faucet, encourage using handwashing sinks in other areas of daycare.

      • Some of the indoor play equipment is elevated. Any elevated equipment greater than 20 inches requires fall surfacing. Elevated equipment less than 20 inches requires surfacing that will soften a fall. Equipment that was greater than 20 inches was removed from use until surfacing could be obtained.
