      • Semi-critical microdermabrasion tips were observed stored in a cabinet within the service area. The facility is not equipped with a dedicated reprocessing sink. Remove the microdermabrasion tips from the service area. ***Previous violation***There was no designated reprocessing sink available for cleaning and disinfecting comedone extractors, which are considered semi-critical tools.Provide a dedicated reprocessing sink for the proper cleaning and disinfection of semi-critical tools such as comedone extractors. This sink must be separate from handwashing and general-purpose sinks to prevent cross-contamination and support effective infection prevention and control practices. Discontinue the use of comedone extractors until this requirement is met.

      • The operator must ensure that facility- specific written procedures are established for example client care in the event of an accidental skin cut or puncture, the cleansing of skin and mucous membrane and the application of antiseptic products, etc. Ensure that the facility has written procedures that pertain to the services offered at the home based personal service.

      • Two bottles of hand sanitizer on-site did not have a Drug Identification Number (DIN) or Natural Product Number (NPN).Replace all hand sanitizer products with those that have a visible DIN or NPN on the label with at least 60% alcohol content.

      • There was no approved disinfectant available on-site for cleaning and disinfecting reusable non-critical and semi-critical tools. The operator informed the inspector that alcohol was being used for disinfecting tools. Obtain an appropriate, approved disinfectant suitable for non-critical and semi-critical tools. Ensure it has a DIN (drug identification number) and is used according to the manufacturer's instructions for effective disinfection.

      • Previously used single-use microneedling needles were found stored in the tool storage drawer.Discard all used needles immediately. Single-use items must be disposed of after each client to prevent cross-contamination and ensure client safety.
