Alternatively, acquire suitable accelerated hydrogen peroxide test strips if intending to re-use disinfectant and prepare a written log of its reuse period.

      • The reprocessing sink in the services room was equip with handwashing supplies, and the operator indicated that the sink had been used for handwashing. A written procedure describing the decontamination of a dual purpose sink was not available onsite for review.Handwashing supplies were removed from this area during inspection. Ensure that a written dual purpose sink disinfection procedure is in place prior to any usage of this sink for handwashing and reprocessing in the future.
