    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Hand sanitizer located in the waxing rom expired in 2022. Hand sanitizer was discarded at the time of inspection.
    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • Skin cleanser was not available for waxing services. Obtain a suitable skin cleanser.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Single-use items were stored at the manicure stations and were in a used condition. Discard any and all used single-use items throughout the facility including but not limited to the following: foam/cardboard nail files, emery files, buffing blocks, toe separators, cardboard covers for nail drill bits etc.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. The high-level disinfectant tray was too small to fully immerse the metal "cheese-grater" foot files. The operator agreed to remove the large metal foot files from the facility.2. Expired PreEmpt RTU disinfectant (Exp: 03/2026) was on-site. The operator agreed to remove all expired disinfectants from the facility.3. There was a high-level disinfectant tray in the waxing room. High-level disinfectant logs were not being maintained for this tray. The operator agreed to remove this high-level disinfectant tray and only use one common high-level disinfectant tray for all tools.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Decanted cosmetic products and/or disinfectants were not properly labelled with its contents. Relabel decanted cosmetic products and/or disinfectants throughout the facility where required.
