- Written procedures for post-service care were completed at the time of inspection for microneedling services.
- 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
- The alcohol prep pad was expired (2022-04). A new antiseptic is required. Update written procedures for antiseptic application as needed.
- 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
- Comedone loops with "piercing tips" are considered to be critical equipment that must be discarded after each use or sterilized using steam as its sterilant. The tools were removed from the facility at the time of inspection and will no longer be used.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- High-level disinfectant was not available for disinfection of semi-critical tools (i.e. comedone loop). Obtain a high-level disinfectant.
