      • For microneedling services, clients must be provided with verbal and written care instructions. Develop written care instructions for microneedling services and provide this office with a copy.
    • 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
      • For microneedling services, client records were not being maintained. Develop client consent form and provide this office with a copy. Ensure client records for personal services that use critical equipment are being maintained and/or are kept accessible for a period of two years. Client records must include full client name, contact information of client, date(s) of personal service, description of personal service, and name of personal services worker who provided the personal service.Please be reminded to ensure that sterility assurance documentation from pre-purchased sterile equipment (i.e. lot number, expiry dates etc.) is being kept with the client's records.

      • Skin cleanser for body waxing and use of razors for laser hair removal service was required.

      • For microneedling services, clients must be provided with verbal and written care instructions. Develop written care instructions for microneedling services and provide this office with a copy.

      • Expired microneedling cartridges were discarded at the time of inspection. Obtain sterile cartridges as needed for microneedling service.

      • The manufacturer’s instructions for use (MIFU) was not available for the hydrafacial machine (energy-emitting) and/or laser machine. Obtain a copy of the MIFU and provide this office with a copy or discontinue use of these beauty instruments. The MIFU must be kept in an accessible place for reference by a personal service worker at all times.

      • Comedone loop with "piercing tips" are considered to be critical equipment and was removed from the facility at the time of inspection.Comedone loop with "loop ends" were removed from the facility because a proper reprocessing sink was not available.Unclean eyelash wand and eyebrow brush was discarded at the time of inspection - these type of tools must be discarded after each use.
