    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Scoops were being stored directly in dry ingredient bins. Do not store scoops directly in food products. Food boxes and buckets were stored directly on the floor in the walk-in freezer. Please store on shelving units at least 6 inches off the floor. This is to ensure adequate cleaning and sanitizing of area. Repeated non compliance.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • There were no test strips available on site during the inspection. Please purchase quats test strips for each department.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • There was a large number of flies in the bakery department. Fly zappers have been used in the past. Fly sticky traps were located above equipment and food preparation areas and were full. Please purchase more fly traps. Re-locate fly traps to non-food prep areas. Discuss more and better pest control options with your PCO to control the amount of flies present in your facility.
    • 24. Is solid and liquid waste being managed in a suitable manner?
      • The garbage bin in the bakery section were made of cardboard. Repeated non-compliance. Ensure that all garbage containers are leak-proof and constructed of an impervious material.
