- The bleach sanitizing solution used was lemon-scented, which is not acceptable for food contact surfaces.Ensure the sanitizing solution is made with plain, unscented bleach that has a Health Canada DIN number, and contains no added scent or color.

- No sanitizing solution was available at the time of inspection; the PHI demonstrated how to mix it properly. Ensure a sanitizing solution is available daily in a spray bottle or via the wiping cloth method for use on all food preparation surfaces, including near the sushi machine, microwave, and coffee area.

- The chlorine test strip on-site was found to be expired in 2023. Ensure that a valid, up-to-date chlorine test strip is available for verifying sanitizer concentration.

- 2023-08-23- The Public Health Inspector did not observe or document this violation during this inspection. This is a violation from a previous inspection. No food handling (ice cream) was occurring at the time of inspection.2022-03-01 Bleach sanitizer available for disinfection- Chlorine strips that measures 10-90ppm.Ensure chlorine strips that reads till above 100ppm is available.
