      • Staff did not perform handwashing after taking out the garbage before returning to the cookline and handling food inserts.Staff was instructed to wash their hands.Food handlers must wash their hands each time after using the washroom, after returning from a break, after snacking or eating, after handling raw food products, or after any other activity or instance where hands may become soiled.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • The back exit door was opened, and no screen door was installed. Staff indicated that the door is usually opened when taking the garbage outside. Ensure the back exit door is closed when taking out the garbage. Alternatively, install a screen door if you want to leave the door opened.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Gaps observed between the baseboard and the tiles on the floor of the walk-in cooler and freezer.- Ensure that the gaps on the floor of walk-in cooler and freezer are fixed.

    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • 1)Dirty cardboard was placed on the lid holder. Provide a cleanable guard or relocate lid holder next to coffee machine.2) Dust and char build-up on the toaster canopy. Clean the toaster canopy.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • "REPEATED VIOLATION"1) Debris and dust build-up on the front cupboard shelves. 2) Coffee grind and sugar build-up underneath the milk/cream dispenser. 1 to 2) Clean these areas. September 12, 2024The shelves in the walk-in cooler were not clean.-Clean the shelves.
