    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • Hole observed in the wall behind the ice bin in the front service area. Fill hole to prevent entry and movement of pests.
    • 29(2)(a) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (a) the food establishment and equipment are maintained, cleaned and sanitized;
      • Debris build-up observed on the counter behind the espresso/ice cap machines. Clean and sanitize soiled surfaces of the counter.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Rodent droppings observed on the floor behind the ice machine/dry storage shelves and on the storage shelves below the toaster. Clean and sanitize surfaces affected by rodent droppings.

    • 19(1)(c) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:  (c) that the surfaces and materials are durable, non-toxic and are easy to maintain, clean and sanitize;
      • Hole in the wall observed at the entrance to the staff room. Repair wall to prevent entry of pests and to facilitate cleaning.
    • 19(1)(c) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:  (c) that the surfaces and materials are durable, non-toxic and are easy to maintain, clean and sanitize;
      • Missing baseboards observed near the door by the staff room. Install baseboards to prevent entry of pests and to facilitate cleaning.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Rodent droppings observed on the counter under the egg station and behind the front end equipment, on the shelves below the toaster, and on the floor under the three-compartment sink. Clean and disinfect areas affected by rodent droppings.
