- -There were no handwashing supplies at the sink in the facial room. Ensure handwashing supplies are available. *In addition all work stations that do not have a sink should have an alcohol based hand rub for hand hygiene on visibly clean hands

- -Equipment used to puncture the skin or mucous membrane was not being discarded after use on one use. Ensure lancets, and other equipment with used to puncture the skin or mucous membrane is discarded after each use.- Porous or uncleanable equipment is not being discarded after each use. Equipment classified as porous or uncleanable must be discarded after use in one personal service on one client. (ex. Nail files, buffers, pumice, toe separators, beauty blenders, spoolies)-Some nail clippers were visibly rusted; please remove/replace.-The tint bowl and applicator were visibly unclean. It is strongly recommended that you switch to a single use mixing cup and applicator system.-The facial steamer water had a build-up of debris. Water used in steamers should be distilled and replaced after each use.

- - Porous and uncleanable equipment was not being treated with a suitable product. Antiseptic products (such as hydrogen peroxide, 70% alcohol or detergent/soap) can be used to treat porous/uncleanable equipment such as make-up brushes.

Some of the tools such as nail cutter was found on the table.April 2024:- Contaminated equipment is not adequately separated and identifiable from clean equipment. Ensure contaminated equipment is stored completely separate from clean equipment to prevent contamination of clean equipment. (ex. Tweezers, scissors)

Ensure manufacturer’s instructions are being followed and a new solution is purchased.- High level disinfectants are not being tested and verified daily using proper test strips. Ensue the high level disinfectant is tested daily using the test strips specified by the disinfectant manufacturer. April 2024:-Pre-empt CS20 had expired.
