    • 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
      • Observation: Evidence of mice; droppings were noted in the facility. (Public Health Significance) Rodents and other pests may cross contaminate foods and surfaces or contaminate human food with feces and urine, carry parasites and other diseases.
      • Corrective Action: Remove any pest attractants such as food and water, eliminate access to the building and routes they use inside. Trap and remove the pests. The use of a professional pest control operator is recommended. Clean and sanitize area where droppings are located and monitor situation.

    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Oven(s) in the kitchen appeared to be off balance (i.e., leaning forward) which was allowing cleaning solution to drain out of the front of the oven and onto the floor. Cleaning solution had spread over the floor as the floor drain (or what appeared to be a floor drain) in front of the ovens appeared to be blocked.
      • Corrective Action: 1) Balance ovens or re-position them so they're level so the cleaning solution does not drain out of them when the cleaning cycle is in progress; 2) Floor drains must be repaired/cleaned so they function properly and kept clean so that waste water does not accumulate on the floor; and 3) Floor must be cleaned before kitchen is put back into use.
