- 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
- Observed water weeping from the front bottom part of the horizontal sand filter. Current filter is to be replaced. Facility has requested quotes from pool service providers and will determine replacement options once those are submitted. Confirmed onsite the following:- Pool volume is 99000 Gal- To achieve a 6 hour turnover the pool must run at no less than 275 GPM.* Current filter area is unable to accommodate 275 GPM (filtration rate is 18.3 GPM/sq ft and exceeds the manufactures maximum rate). The minimum filter size required would be 18.3 Sq Ft.- Pool service provider adjusted valving to confirm maximum flow through the system and noted the pump was able to achieve up to 320 GPM. Pool pump is B&G E1532 3BD 15Hp 1800 RPM. Pump does not match the anti-entrapment compliance plan.* Flow meter has been installed in a small section of SCH40 plumbing between SCH80 piping. Pool service provider will reach out to flow meter manufacture to confirm if the installation of the flow meter is adequate to properly measure the maximum flow of the system. Current flow meter installed can be moved to another location as it can be used to read flow in 4" pipe in both SCH40 & SCH80 pipe.
- 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
- The anti-entrapment compliance plan has not been updated to reflect the pump currently installed. Update the anti-entrapment plan to reflect the pump changes.
