    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • There was a used nail file in one of the manicure stations. This was discarded during the inspection. Ensure all single use equipment is dsicarded immediately after use.
    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • A tool with a wooden handle was being disinfected in CS20. Due to the wood, this tool cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected. Operator removed it.
  2. Initial Inspection

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Tweezers and scissors used for eyebrow waxing were being disinfected in alcohol. Operator changed and used Pre-empt RTU for disinfection during the inspection. Alcohol is not an approved disinfectant. Ensure a disinfectant with a DIN is used for these tools.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • One side of two compartment sink used for reprocessing was being used for staff lunch prep and dishwashing. Do not use sink for food preparation. This was corrected during the inspection. Reprocessing area must only be used for tool washing and disinfecting.
