This is the best place i have ever eaten at, the people are so friendly. The food is so high quality, they had me in love when they brought a fresh baguette that they baked, the lamb chops were absolutely to die for, and the schnitzel was as good as my mother's own recipe (she is Czech and prides herself on it) and the shirley temple, they served me was the best. I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the best food they can find, and be prepared to eagerly await your next return, because I will be finding every reason i can to go eat at this restaurant

I am so happy to have found authentic German food in Penticton again. The appetizers were delicious. The schnitzel was AMAZING and it was also a big portion. So so so delicious. The staff were great and food arrived quickly. I will definitely be back. I also love the esthetic of the inside of the restaurant

I don’t usually make negative reviews because opinions can be subjective however I feel the need to inform fellow guests. The atmosphere is nice however the food was not what I expected for the price. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. It was supposed to come with salad and potatoes. There was a lot of rice but literally 4 hash brown sized potatoes and literally 1/4 cup of Greek salad, as well as a small container of Tzatziki sauce that was only half full. I wish I took a photo. The dish was close to $30! The only reason I’m making a review today is because when I asked for more Tzatziki the host made a corrective comment. She did bring more however then charged us $3 more on the bill and made another corrective comment. In today’s competitive market some restaurants seem to be moving from the hospitality industry and becoming more a service industry looking to squeeze every dollar out of you and skimp on portions. I got this impression from this restaurant. I hope the owners take this review to heart and make changes so they can retain return guests.

This was our first time dining. We had the Hunter Schnitzel, pork tenderloin, and a lovely lavender lemon cheesecake. It was all very good. We found the atmosphere wonderful with a great vibe and music. We sat on the patio and enjoyed ourselves. The owner serves and her husband is the chef. Lovely people. It was hard to book a reservation as they do not have a website and don’t have an answering machine. We had to go in person after 4:30 pm. To reserve the next day. Reservations are encouraged as there is the one server/owner who does the front. This was the only negative. I will return and recommend it.

We had a really nice experience at Garden House Restaurant. The food had such good taste and was very fresh. The service was warm and welcoming, and the sweet lady who owns the place gave us great recommendations, which we really appreciated as it was our first time trying German cuisine. If the portions were a bit larger, it would be even better, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

Lovely restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and truly amazing food. We had the hunter schnitzel and the bruschetta, and both were absolutely delicious—the schnitzel was perfectly cooked with the most unreal mushroom gravy sauce. Plus their cheesecakes are the best! Tara and her husband do an incredible job and are so kind to their patrons. Thanks for having us!

Truly excellent food. I had a hunter schnitzel, it was perfect. The mushroom sauce was great. As good as eating it in Germany. My partner had a paella, she said it was good too. Well priced to for the size of the portions. 10/10.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's run by a couple from Germany. Small and cozy with an authentic European pub vibe. Food was great. The German pasta known as Spatzle is home made and surprisingly good.

The food was excellent. Although , the service was slow due to a high volume of customers and only one server. She was very kind . I highly recommend the schnitzel with mushroom sauce for a perfect European-style meal.
