      • Jan 30, 2026: The food handling permit was not displayed. PHI advised the Area Manager to contact Head Office to obtain the permit and ensure it is displayed prominently in the facility.Jan 21, 2026: The food handling permit was not displayed anywhere in the facility. Operator did not provide the permit when requested during the inspection.

    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Chicken wings and Pizza were being stored in a hot holding unit, and the infrared thermometer measured an ambient temperature of 45°C. Internal temperatures of the chicken measured 49°C. Operator destroyed the products held below 60°C in hot holding unit.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The food handling permit was not displayed anywhere in the facility. Operator did not provide the permit when requested during the inspection.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • The operator demonstrated a lack of knowledge regarding the method to check sanitizer concentration. PHI educated the operator on the correct procedure to check sanitizer.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • The quat sanitizing used in the facility was measured at 50-100ppm after being prepared from the calibrated dispenser. The employees were instructed to measure the solutions regularly to ensure they reach the minimum concentration of 200ppm and add Quat manually to reach this concentration until the machine could be recalibrated.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • There were mice droppings noted in the cabinet under the coffee machine in the customer service area.Ensure pest abatement measures are implemented.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The food handling permit posted in the facility was expired. Ensure you post a valid food handling permit in a publicly viewable location.

      • There was large buildup of dried syrup under the fountain drink syrup boxes in the back of the facility. There was a large buildup of dirt and debris under the back cooler in the facility.
