    • 12. Is refuse being managed in a suitable manner?
      • There was a dedicated garbage container for diapers in the diapering area/washroom in the toddler room, however, there was no other garbage container for other wastes (such as paper towels).Corrective Action:Director setup a garbage container lined with a plastic bag during the inspection for this area.
    • 16. Does the social care facility have adequate lighting?
      • The lighting in the diapering area in the baby room constantly flickers.Corrective Action:Repair or replace the light fixture to ensure adequate lighting.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Vinegar/water is being used to disinfect sleeping mats.Corrective Action:- Advised director to use their 100 ppm bleach solution as a disinfectant for the sleeping mats. - Vinegar/water is okay for cleaning, however, ensure a potable water rinse before using bleach solution to disinfect.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • A reusable towel was being used for drying hands in the diapering area in the baby room.Corrective Action:Directed staff to use single use paper towel for drying hands.
