      • No Personal Services Notification (PSN) was submitted by the operator to notify Alberta Health Services (AHS) of the operation of the personal services business.It is advised to notify Alberta Health Services (AHS) and provide all required business information, including contact details, the business location and the personal services and activities being offered. The operator must ensure that the information provided is complete, accurate and kept up to date to support regulatory oversight and public health requirements.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • It was observed that the high-level disinfectant CS20 had expired on June 3, 2026, and CaviWipes had expired on April 1, 2026. The use of expired disinfectants may compromise the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection procedures and increase the risk of contamination.All expired products were discarded during the inspection. The operator was instructed to obtain new disinfectant products and ensure they are used according to the manufacturer's instructions. No services requiring these disinfectants were to be performed until replacement products were acquired and proper disinfection procedures could be maintained.Operator confirmed that the services will remain paused until September 18, 206 due to unavailability of the operator to perform any service,

      • Reusable semi-critical equipment such as microdermabrasion's diamond tips being cleaned and disinfected with low-level disinfectant (Micro Kleen) and alcohol.-Please procure and use high-level disinfectant such as preempt CS20 or HLD5 to disinfect such tools.If the high-level disinfectant is to be reused for more than one day, please procure suitable test strip and ensure test results are documented as required.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • During the inspection, the following concerns were identified:1. The client service table in Room 1 was observed to be dirty, with visible staining on the linen and hair debris adhered to the surface. This indicates that the linen was not being changed and cleaned after each client. The use of soiled linens may contribute to cross-contamination and does not support effective cleaning and disinfection practices between clients.2. The client service table in the IPL treatment room was observed to be in disrepair, with damaged surfaces along the sides. Damaged surfaces cannot be effectively cleaned and disinfected and may harbor contaminants.The operator was instructed to ensure that all surfaces used for providing services are smooth, non-porous, and easily cleanable. Service tables must be maintained in good repair to allow for effective cleaning and disinfection. The use of reusable linens on multiple clients compromises infection prevention and control requirements. If linens are used, they must be changed after each client and laundered appropriately. Alternatively, service surfaces that can be readily cleaned and disinfected between clients should be utilized. Damaged service tables must be repaired or replaced.

      • During the inspection1. A dead mouse was observed in a drawer within the Botox treatment room, along with mouse droppings in the surrounding area. The presence of rodents and rodent feces may contaminate equipment, supplies and environmental surfaces, posing a risk to client and operator health.2. Mouse dropping were observed in the storage room under the shelves, around the corner and behind the water bottles. The operator was instructed to obtain the services of a licensed pest control company to assess and address the mouse infestation in the facility. All affected areas must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and measures must be implemented to prevent future rodent entry and infestation.
