- Front bar area did not have a sanitizer solution prepared. Recommend making a sani bucket or spray bottle using 1/2 tsp of unscented household bleach per liter of water or using a QUAT based food sanitizer.
- 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
- Unlabeled spray bottle containing a cleaner was observed. Spray bottle was labeled during the inspection.
- 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
- Bar dishwasher is not dispensing sanitizer, test strips measured at 0 ppm chlorine. Repair dishwasher so that it is sanitizing at 100 ppm chlorine.
- 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- Chlorine test strips are not available for the dishwasher. Purchase chlorine test strips and ensure dishwasher is tested every day prior to use (must measure at 100 ppm chlorine).
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- 1. Overhead door is kept open throughout the day. The doors must be kept closed (other than during deliveries) to prevent the entry of pests and insects into the facility. Mouse droppings were present next to the overhead door.2. Pest control records are not being maintained for the self-monitoring of pests.
