Potential droppings found behind white stand-up fridge. Some droppings on dry storage area shelving. Foods in dry storage are in pest proof containers. Ensure to always clean food prep areas at the end of shift including the griddle next to the stovetop that is used to store foods. Do not leave food debris on the griddle. Dishware (e.g. plates) are kept in hard plastic containers which are sealed at the end of shifts. Tightly seal gaps in ceiling in dry storage area. Move the large file cabinet next to the desk in this area to see if there are gaps in the wall behind it and seal them. Food contact surfaces (e.g. countertops) MUST continue to be cleaned AND sanitized at the beginning and end of shift.
- F2.2C The premises must be maintained free of pests.
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): High temperature dishwasher is able to reach 71°C when measured using a maximum registering thermometer. Chlorine sanitizer in bucket measured 0 ppm. Chlorine sanitizer in spray bottle measured above 200 ppm. Keep the chlorine solution concentration between 100-200 ppm.

- Observation(s): Clean behind the white fridge and clean food debris inside of fridges. Personal foods in walk-in cooler, stand-up fridge, and dry storage area (e.g. gifted canned goods). Do not store food that is not meant to be consumed by the public in the commercial kitchen. The handwashing sink basin is not appropriately sloped to allow all water to go down the drain. Fix or replace the basin so that water does not pool in the sink basin. Operator replaced wall mounted fry cutter. Old fry cutter is on site. Remove junk/unused equipment from the premises. Operator noted that the fry cutter was recently replaced. Main dry storage area shelving is not made from an easily cleanable material it will absorb moisture. Temporary Action: Shelving in main dry storage area has a temporary cover/sheet made from easily cleanable materials. Further Corrective Action: Replace the shelving material with a material that is smooth, durable, and easily cleanable. This is still in progress. Note: Ensure food contact surfaces in constant use (e.g. fry cutter, cutting boards, tongs, spatulas, ice scoops, etc.) are cleaned and sanitized at least every 4 hours. Have a system in place for this.

- F2.2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
- Observation(s): Droppings found throughout dry storage area on most shelving, on cans, on chair near desk, under desk, on floor along walls. Droppings found behind stand up fridge, and along wall/behind white pail containers in this area. Droppings found in front area in cupboard under sink. Droppings seen in food storage area next to cookline. It appears this area was not being regularly cleaned. Various traps are set up in the premises and a sealant is used on potential entry ways along walls. however if sanitation is not regularly upkept the rodent issue will persist. Majority of foods in dry storage are in pest proof containers. Follow resources previously provided to clean droppings safely and disinfect cans. Tightly seal gaps in ceiling in dry storage area. Move large equipment (e.g. fridges, prep cooler) to clean along walls/behind/under equipment. Clean the cookline and equipment around it including the grease behind equipment. Operator noted pest control company services building. Operator must provide the last two pest control invoices to the area EHO. More frequent service may be required. Food contact surfaces MUST be cleaned and sanitized at the beginning and end of shift. Potential live mouse seen on cookline near stovetop during inspection. Mice are a recurring issue, some steps have been taken to mitigate exposure to food and food contact surfaces, however more stringent action is needed. It is clear mice access the cookline area and that staff do not regularly clean this area from the build up of debris. Regular sanitation must be prioritized again. Follow-up to occur.

A wonderful place for both breakfast and dinner. I had the goat meat curry which was possibly the best I have ever had & the Indian cheesecake was a special treat. Next morning I had fantastic eggs benedict exactly the way I requested them (soft).

We visited Osoyoos for a couple of hours and decided to try somewhere new. We've never been to Ambrosia before, but I'm glad we did! Our server, Tracy, was a delight! She was super friendly, and we engaged in a great conversation. As the food is Northern Indian food, so it is not the type of Indian food you usually get everywhere else. It was rich and flavorful, and my daughter and I enjoyed it very much. Truly authentic Indian food. We both ordered the butter chicken. Yummy! Tracy suggested the chia latte and omg! You gotta try it! It's absolutely to die for. Sooooo delicious. The only thing I would change is the Naan. It was quite thin and dry. Other than that, our visit was a good one.

I recently visited Ambrosia Family Restaurant for lunch, and I was left incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food. As someone who enjoys authentic Indian cuisine, I found myself questioning if this was truly Indian food. I ordered the Chana Bhatura, which had no flavor whatsoever, and the Paneer Chilli was essentially just capsicum and paneer in a bland gravy. The naan was hard and inedible. Nothing stood out in terms of taste, and it was a letdown. The only saving grace was the excellent service. Ashley, our server, was polite, energetic, and represented the restaurant well. However, the effort from the kitchen staff did not match up to her dedication. I was hoping for an authentic and enjoyable meal, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Host was friendly, and polite. Very quick to take my order. I ordered couple things from the menu but it wasn’t up to my expectation. After couple bites of each I had it packed. I have never had chicken tikka masala with potatoes and green peas. Not the combination I look forward to or expected to taste.

I don't eat chicken but my husband got some that looked soft and moist. My meal was great, the host was excellent, and we'll definitely stop in again if we find ourselves in the area. Great variety of food for anyone and everyone. The only let down was the naan, a little inconsistent.

It's not often these days that the person who comes out to take your order then goes back into the kitchen and cooks it... But that's what happens at Ambrosia if you go during the day. The food is really good, and the woman who owns this place is very sweet as well.

Loved the veg Gluten Free Pakora’s. The owner is very humble and the lady in the kitchen Cooks with all the mothers love ❤️ Thankyou so much for an amazing food and memories.

I can't rave enough about how much we enjoyed having lunch at Ambrosia. It's a little unassuming restaurant, however, we found the customer service to be excellent and the food delicious. We ordered fish and chips and pakoras. The fish and chips were big enough to share and cooked with a crispy outside and tender inside. The tartar sauce was packaged, and I would have loved to taste some homemade. The pakoras were freshly made and the waitress told us it was one of the most requested items. They were definitely some of the best I've tasted. We'll definitely stop by to try more of their menu next time we're in town.

A wonderful place for both breakfast and dinner. I had the goat meat curry which was possibly the best I have ever had & the Indian cheesecake was a special treat. Next morning I had fantastic eggs benedict exactly the way I requested them (soft).

I ordered takeout from this restaurant and it was an absolute disaster. I got the Fish Pakora for nearly $13 and was shocked to find just seven tiny bite-sized pieces in the container. It was a total rip-off. When I went back the next day …

I drove by this restaurant several times and decided not to stop in because there were no cars parked out front so and it was just kind of "there". I read a few reviews online and decided to give it a try for brunch on Thanksgiving weekend. …
