- F1.2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
- Observation(s): 1) Observed several opened containers of dairy and non-dairy beverages requiring refrigeration after opening stored at room temperature while not in use. Potentially hazardous foods must be stored at 4°C or below to prevent bacterial growth. Discussed the importance of returning these products to refrigeration when not in use. 2) Milk and cream carafes at the service counter were measured at 13°C to 14°C. Potentially hazardous foods must be maintained at 4°C or below, or rotated back into refrigeration every 2 hours, to prevent bacterial growth. Staff reported the carafes had been refilled approximately one hour prior. EHO discussed the need for a routine schedule to rotate or discard milk and cream so that all staff are aware of the process.

- Observation(s): No prepared sanitizer solution was available for food contact surfaces. A sanitizer solution must be prepared before the start of each business day to ensure food contact surfaces are properly sanitized and free of harmful microorganisms.

- Observation(s): 1) The handwashing sink in the staff bathroom had no supply of liquid soap. Soap must be provided at all handwashing sinks to ensure effective hand hygiene. 2) The handwashing sink in the customer bathroom had no supply of paper towel. Paper towel must be provided at all handwashing sinks to allow for proper hand drying and support effective hand hygiene.

Good coffee joint in a great location. Friendly staff, good coffee and a few food options. Best parts are location and it’s dog friendly. No objections to have them on their patio or inside. Would recommend.

ATMOSPHERE: I enjoy studying at cafes and like to try new places. Today, I wanted a place with much natural light flooding an open space decorated with neutral, earthy, or pastel tones. Cue in: Analog cafe! The interior design soothed my eyes. The music soothed my ears -- the playlist today was soft, jazzy instrumentals, the kind that is excellently paired with both a sunny AND a rainy day, and both as a wind-down OR a wind-up to start and end your day! I always wear head phones at cafes to lock in to my readings, but today was the one exception. Staff is down to earth, welcoming and kind! FOOD: I had a caramel-flavoured latte (regular milk) and a "feature cookie" (toffee + caramel + espresso). I think the best latte I've ever had. Went down very smoothly and the foam was exquisitely bodied! The cookie was one of the better cookies I've ever had; the right amount of soft/chewy and sweetness. Mmm!

Great latte/espresso. I just wish they would add some more fresh bakery items. Nothing looks very fresh. Would also love some gluten free options. More seating inside is also needed

Solid coffee chain that knows what they’re doing. If you’re into good coffee, I think that this is one of the better cafes in Kelowna. I just grabbed an americano to go but the atmosphere was great with lots of outdoor seating and modern and clean interior decor. I didn’t have any food but I’d try next time I’m in the area!

A lovely coffee shop with outside seating. I ordered an iced sugar free caramel latte which was good. The beans had more of a nutty, chocolate taste which was interesting. My mother in law had an iced matcha latte with one shot of vanilla which she really enjoyed. A convenient location and the staff were friendly.
