      • Observation(s): Basement fridge #4 measured 14°C. Operator indicated that the fridge had just been repaired. Instructed to monitor the temperature over the next hour and if it does not get to ≤4°C, the items within must be moved to a different cooler that can maintain adequate temperature. Ensure the door on the unit closes tightly.
    • F2.2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
      • Observation(s): Large accumulation of recycling material in the basement, which can be harborage for pests. Corrective Action: Remove accumulation of materials and routinely dispose of materials to prevent accumulation in the future.
    • F3.3 Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): Temperature logs are not maintained. Corrective Action: Monitor and record temperature of all hot and cold holding units daily. Send the next month logs to the EHO. Templates provided
    • F3.4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): Sanitation logs are not maintained. Corrective Action: Monitor and record concentration of sanitizing solution, and temperature of final rinse in dishwasher daily. Email next month records to EHO. Template provided.

      • Observation(s): Sandwich cooler: 6 C; Black fridge: 8.5 C; basement fridge #4: 6.8 C. Ensure perishable foods are moved from these coolers and stored below 4 C. Adjust these coolers and ensure they are not used for potentially hazardous foods until they can maintain the food at or below 4 C. White fridge: 4.5 C; Display cooler: 4.5 C; Basement fridges - #1: 1 C; #2: 4 C; #3: 3 C. All hot holding units were > 60 C. All freezers were satisfactory.

    I heard about this bakery from friends that told me we had to make a stop there. The place did not disappoint had an awesome lunch and Lattes and took home the most amazing cinnamon buns I have ever seen or tasted. This place is incredible and is 5 minutes off the highway well worth the stop. We will be back for sure.

    This is the only place open early in town, everywhere else opens around 11am. LOOK at these cinnamon buns 🤤 They even do breakfast 8:30-10:30, 7 days a week. I’ll be back tomorrow for breakfast.

    We enjoyed our visit. We bought a lemon and cherry Danish. Both were delicious. 2 peanut butter bars. Not tasted yet. Cream puffs were good. Next time we will order ahead to get cinnamon buns.

    After shopping at Desert Hills, my wife and I decided to checkout the bakery and cafe in town. We were surprised at the selection available. The portion sizes of whatever could be ordered was generous. We sampled the cinnamon bun(which we split in half) and shared a fresh scone. Overall we were not disappointed in what we purchased. This is a definite place to frequent when in Ashcroft.

    Delightful Gem on a side street in town! Friendly service. Fresh food. Fantastic baked goods. Really cozy atmosphere with a few bar stools at the window for sitting. The rest of the space is packed with goodies and gifts. I really and truly wanted to order one of everything! It is busy busy busy though so if you want certain items you may have to get there earlier in the day! I will definitely return when I am passing through town again!

    Wow! Fantastic cake!! Very reasonable price too. Everything else looked and smelled delicious as well. I will definitely be back to sample more! The cracks in the icing were not there when I picked the cake up. I have a rough ride on a long driveway.

    We came for the epic cinnamon buns but by 12 noon, they were quickly sold out. And this was a Tuesday! We did pickup some delicious cookies, chicken pot pies and sausage rolls though. Definitely coming back earlier in the day for these cinnamon buns though. The bakery smelled incredible, and it was a busy little place. Come with an appetite! And come early!
