- Botox solutions are reconstituted using a bacteriostatic saline solution containing preservatives for multi-dose use. The handling and reconstitution of botulinum toxin (Botox) products must strictly follow the manufacturer’s official instructions and applicable health regulations. Manufacturer guidelines for Botox use states that product should be reconstituted using only sterile, preservative-free saline solution. Once reconstituted, the solution must be used within 24 hours; therefore, vials are considered single use only. All instructions provided on the product labels for Botox products must be followed at all times.
